Well Landrum has made her first big trip - we took her to Dallas for the fourth of July - another first, her first Independence Day! She did great in the car although the usual 6 hour trip turned into an 8 hour trip; lots of stops along the way! She had a wonderful time playing with her cousins, Jack and Rylie and got to do lots of fun things. She even went for her first swim! We went to a pool party on the fourth and baby girl took a few dips in the pool - she loved it!
She also went to her first fireworks show - thankfully we were far enough away that they weren't too noisy, and I think she slept through most of it anyway! However, the evening was not without excitement. While we were in the parking lot waiting for the shuttle to take us to the fireworks extravaganza baby girl had a serious blow out - I mean shooting down her leg onto the pavement - we had to act fast. There was thankfully a city truck nearby and we threw down the tailgate whipped out her mat and sprang into action!
The plan was for baby and I to drive home on Wednesday by ourselves, Jared flew home Saturday; however, thankfully Erin and the kids decided to come along for the ride! I was so thankful for the company and the extra hands with baby!
